So needless to say, ya I am a little (alot) sad that this fundraiser that I have wanted to do for so long can't happen. I had already had planned to go hang out with my friend Shawnda yesterday evening, so after I found out the bad news I needed this time more then ever! On my way there I had myself a little cry fest. A time to just talk things out with the Lord. Between my sobs and me pouring my heart out to Him and thoughts of Selah, my heart is just aching "Please God Help us, show us that you are still with us." In the midst of all this, a van pulls in front of me, his entire back window is filled with a giant decal that said
" Selah " . I sat there stunned. When I got a second look to make sure I was not seeing things, it hit me even harder and I broke down all over again but this time because of God's great divine love. Because of His sovereignty. Because His timing is perfect. His love for us is so intimate, He knows every hair on our head and catches every tear in a bottle (because He knows there will be tears). He is with our precious Selah. I know this! I can rejoice for the hope He brings in the heart ache. He will make every bit of this count!
Psalm 105:3&4
"Let the hearts of the those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!"

Adoption Fundraiser/ CANCELED
We regret to inform you that The Adoption Fundraiser has now been Canceled. We were unaware of a law that restricts people from holding a fundriaser in this manner unless they are a Non-profit.
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who was willing to donate to the many awesome prizes I would have loved to giveaway. Thank You to everyone who was willing to help us spread the word about our adoption journey. As always you are more than welcome to donate at anytime to our adoption fund. I wish I could have offered these amazing prizes up to you for your support but we should never loose site that the TRUE prize is that a child will find a FOREVER FAMILY. She will be an orphan NO MORE! You can still be apart of that. The treasure of that gift can NEVER be taken away!
1Thess 5:24 "The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it."

"On my own"
I just had to share this article "On my own" by Amy Eldridge executive director of Love Without Boundaries. It is a heart wrenching glimpse into the raw emotions of orphaned children in China who "age out" at 14 and loose the chance of ever being adopted or who never got the chance to begin with.
Of course this scene in played out millions of times all over the world at different ages but the same heart ache, the same crisis. Children on their own. It often does not end well. Many will turn to a life of gangs, drugs, prostitution and suicide. It is like a life sentence for a crime they did not commit, being orphaned.
" What a wonderful place this would be if every adult took the hand of a child in need and didn’t let go." Amy Eldridge
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling" Pslam 68:5

Snow Day in Texas!

Last week it was like waking up on Christmas morning to see our neighborhood covered in snow ! I poked my head outside in the frosty air and looked around, it was beautiful! It was still early in the morning so my neighborhood was peacefully quiet....until the silence was broken by a childs cheerful "WooooHoooooo!" HAHA!! Love it! Once the kids were up and dressed it was FROLIC time!!!
